Billing & Refund Policy

Overview

openthis.one uses Polar to process payments. When you purchase a surprise page, Polar handles the checkout and payment on our behalf. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

What you are paying for

Each purchase covers the creation and hosting of a single surprise page at a custom subdomain link. The page remains available until it expires or is deleted by you, whichever comes first.

Pricing and currency

The price for a surprise page is displayed at checkout before you confirm payment. All prices include applicable fees. The currency shown at checkout is the currency you will be charged in.

Refund eligibility

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. You may request a refund if:

• Your surprise page was not published due to a technical error on our side.
• You were charged more than once for the same page.
• You request a refund within 14 days of purchase and the page has not yet been opened by the recipient.

When refunds may not be available

Refunds are generally not available in the following situations:

• The surprise page has already been opened by the recipient.
• The page has expired after being successfully published and delivered.
• The request is made more than 14 days after the original purchase.
• The account or page was removed due to a violation of our Terms of Service.

How to request a refund

To request a refund, email support@openthis.one with the email address associated with your account and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed through Polar and returned to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe a charge is unauthorized, please contact us first at support@openthis.one before filing a dispute with your bank. We are happy to resolve billing issues directly and promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of paid features after the updated policy takes effect means you accept it.
